Biography

Gabby Tyrrell began doing performance poetry at the Hard Edge Club in the 1990’s and went on to help run the Electric Circus at Tottenham Court Road and a performance night at Bunjees Folk Cellar. She has an BA(honors) in Communications and Combined Studies and an MA in Performing Arts from Central School of Speech and Drama. She was born in Preston in 1966 and now lives there. She has been a freelance group leader for the Museum of Lancashire and won the Murder and Disability Poetry prize in 2006 and was one the original Big Word Poets.She has also appeared in the Guardian newspaper in 1994 and on tv in The Big City in 1995. Recently did a PTTLS and CTTLS (Blackburn College).
