Event Details

Tameside Libraries invite you to join an inspiring and creative workshop with Louise Wallwein MBE; a poet and playwright, writing for theatres, TV and radio.

Louise grew up in care and is aiming this event specifically at those who have experienced the care system.

Following some snippets from her play, GLUE: The Extended Remix, Louise will be working with you to develop your own stories.

GLUE is a frank and gripping true story of her meeting her birth mother, three decades after being put up for adoption. The world as she knew it is was turned upside down, and this is how she learnt to fight back. In this workshop Louise will inspire you to tell your story in a creative, inspiring and powerful way.

“Five years ago I performed Glue in a disused Tower block. This month I will be performing it in my own living room for young care leavers who will be in their own rooms. What a journey this show has been on.”Louise Wallwein

Please note that this session is aimed specifically at those who have experienced the care system. If you would like to book on this session, please contact Stephanie Hogan on Stephanie.hogan@tameside.gov.uk or call 0161 342 2031
