Biography

I am a writer, poet and author of The Real CSI: A Forensic Handbook for Crime Writers. With over 15 years as a serving CSI, I have combined the passion of my job with my love for writing and have advised many crime writers on how they can add veracity and authenticity to their writing. I am currently working on my own crime fiction trilogy and continue to write and perform my poetry

Workshop & Reading Experience

I have lectured in 2016 & 2017 at The Guardian Crime Writing Masterclasses. I have lectured 3 years at Swanwick Writer’s Summer School. I took part in The Kilker Women event in 2017 providing 1:1 advice to crime writers. My colleagues and I have held three events of our own crime writing Masterclasses. I presented at Morecambe Crime Writing festival in September 2017. I was commissioned to run a poetry workshop in 2 local primary schools in March 2018. I have been advising the BBC on a production that they are currently developing that will feature forensics. This year I am lecturing my at Theakston’s Crime Festival, Guardian Masterclasses, Swanwick, Morecambe & Vice, Bloody Scotland and Killer Women.
