Lyn G Farrell is an award winning writer and academic, passionate about marginalised voices finding their rightful place in mainstream fiction. She grew up in Littleborough in the North West and after 30 years living in Leeds, is preparing to move back across the Pennines. Her debut novel, The Wacky Man, tells the story of Amanda, a child struggling to cope with the effects of extreme violence at the hands of her father. It won the Luke Bitmead Prize in 2015. Currently working on her second novel, a tale of the healing power of unusual friendship, she also has short stories printed in New Writer magazine (online) and Breath and Shadow online journal.

I’m really keen to connect with readers and writers in communities and libraries. I am working on my second novel at present as well as several flash/short stories. I am also working with digital storytelling, both academically and personally. I would particularly welcome any chance to run creative writing/digital storytelling workshops.
