Jean Briggs
Biography
I taught English in schools in Cheshire, Hong Kong and Lancashire. I now live in a cottage in Cumbria where I write the Charles Dickens Mysteries, featuring Dickens as an amateur detective teaming up with Superintendent Jones of Bow Street. I am a member of the Crime Writers Association, the Historical Novel Society and the Historical Writers Association.

Workshop & Reading Experience
I regularly give talks at libraries in Cumbria and Lancashire and Manchester and talks to groups and societies including the Elizabeth Gaskell Society and the Manchester Luncheon Club, the WI and other charities, usually on my own novels, but on other writers, too. I have given talks in schools.
