I taught English in schools in Cheshire, Hong Kong and Lancashire. I now live in a cottage in Cumbria where I write the Charles Dickens Mysteries, featuring Dickens as an amateur detective teaming up with Superintendent Jones of Bow Street. I am a member of the Crime Writers Association, the Historical Novel Society and the Historical Writers Association.
