Calum Kerr
Biography
Calum is a writer and academic working living in South Manchester. He is passionate about writing, reading and the liberation of words and loves to communicate this passion to the people around him. His PhD was a combination of creative writing and web-design and resulted in an online rewriting of Jekyll and Hyde, available via his website. He is currently working on more stories, a novel and a couple of small plays which he hopes to see published/performed in the near future.

Calum has had short stories published in blankpages, Transmission, the Recusant and Writer’s Muse, he reviews for WhatsOnStage.com and PN Review, and his York Notes Advanced on The Kite Runner is published in July 2009. Workshop & Reading Experience
With experience teaching both creative writing and literature courses to adults of all ages and abilities Calum is well placed to run workshops and also interact with reading groups on the full range of genres and titles. – Stockport Continuing Education working with people with learning difficulties, the visually impaired and the elderly on creative and life writing. – Cheadle and Marple 6th Form College creative writing at adult education level – Manchester Metropolitan University – undergraduate, post-graduate and staff training – Moss Side Stories project working with children from Manchester Acadamy
