UK poet Dr. Geraldine Green is a freelance creative writing tutor, mentor, poetry editor and visiting lecturer at The University of Cumbria. She reads widely in the UK and North America. She has recently given a talk at the Lawrence Durrell Centenary Celebrations in Corfu and presented a Paper on the works of John Clare and Aldo Leopold at The South West Texas Conference, Albuquerque. ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENTS After working in an office most of her life Geraldine took the plunge into academia in her early 40s. She gained a BA Hons (First) and a Research Diploma (Ecopoetics) from John Moore University in 2000 and 2002 respectively. Sprred on by this she continued studying, gaining an MA Creative Writing Poetry (Distinction) in 2005 and awarded a PhD Creative Writing Poetry in 2012, both through Lancaster University UK.
